Solderix Zoom: Modular STEM RC Car Kit
Build Your Own Remote-Controlled Robot
Discover a new way to learn electronics
Dive into the world of engineering with the Solderix Zoom! This revolutionary STEM kit uses a LEGO-like system of real circuit boards that you connect using metal standoffs and screws. From building your own high-speed RC car to assembling the joystick that drives it, this is the ultimate hands-on adventure into robotics—all with no soldering required.
What's inside the kit
The Zoom Car & Custom Joystick
You will assemble a fast, agile robotic car powered by four high-speed motors and grippy rubber tires. Then, you'll build your very own remote-control joystick out of three separate circuit boards! We provide the screwdriver, pliers, and even the batteries right in the box, making the assembly safe, simple, and frustration-free.
The Brains: Dual SolderBit Controllers
This kit includes two powerful SolderBit microcontrollers equipped with ESP32 chips. One acts as the brain for your Zoom car, and the other powers your joystick. You'll learn how smart devices communicate wirelessly and process your commands in real-time.
Code, Create, and Rebuild
Once your hardware is built, the real fun begins! Using the intuitive SolderBrix visual programming tool, you'll learn how to code your car's movements and remote-control functions. Best of all, because the Solderix system is totally modular, you can take your car apart and reuse the boards to invent entirely new gadgets in the future.
